What this is
myweatherrock is a live weather forecast for every town in the United States, kept by a
weather rock. The current conditions, the next 48 hours and the ten days ahead come from the
National Weather Service grid, the National Blend of Models and the HRRR, blended and served
here, with radar rendered from NOAA's own MRMS feed. The forecast is graded every night
against NOAA's analysis and against the nearest weather station, and the scores are published
in the Journal. There are no ads, no accounts and no tracking.
Town forecasts are pressed as their own pages: Connecticut,
Alaska, Puerto Rico and the rest of
the country are reachable from the state list. The
Weather School explains how forecasting works in plain English,
and the Journal keeps the receipts.
